A wild and crazy first leg in Germany last week ended bafflingly 1-0 for the hosts as both teams failed to convert a number of opportunities in front of goal. The profligacy affected both attacking units, but it was PSG who were left with a deficit to make up after Niclas Fullkrug’s 36th-minute counterattack gave BVB the win.
Kylian Mbappé was completely invisible, trapped by Chelsea loanee Ian Maatsen, as PSG’s attack largely ran through Ousmane Dembélé. On the other hand, Man United leaver Jadon Sancho, back at his former club Dortmund, completed an unfathomable 13 successful dribbles, the most of any player in the Champions League this season, and had a terrible lucky not to come out with an assist.
Will PSG find themselves 90 minutes from the promised land for the second time or will Borussia Dortmund have the chance to win the club’s second European crown and first in 27 years?

Despite leading by one goal on aggregate, Borussia Dortmund has not endeared itself to the betting market. In contrast, PSG are a solid home favorite for this game in a vacuum and are also considered a pretty strong favorite to advance to the Champions League final.
It seems the market is largely expecting PSG to overcome their first-leg problems in front of goal, while Dortmund may regret not getting a second goal at home to increase their lead.
