The Los Angeles Chargers could have one more option at running back when they take on the Tennessee Titans on Sunday. On Saturday, the team activated running back Gus Edwards from injured reserve.
When the Chargers dove into free agency this year, they signed two former Baltimore Ravens running backs, Edwards and J.K. Dobbins. It was expected to be a committee approach, but Edwards was thought to have the bigger role. While Dobbins has shined, Edwards has been a bit of a disappointment.
Edwards has played in just four games this season, rushing 38 times for just 113 yards. The Chargers have leaned on Dobbins and rookie Kimani Vidal has made plays in the absence of Edwards, who has been on injured reserve since October 12 with an ankle injury. He has drawn a questionable tag for this game.

If Edwards is in uniform on Sunday, he will likely take on a small, short-yardage role as the team eases him back in.
Chargers slowly getting healthier as Week 10 arrives
The Chargers have been hampered by injuries this season, but they are slowly getting players back as the schedule continues to be favorable to them. The Chargers have played the New Orleans Saints and Cleveland Browns the past two weeks and now get the 2-6 Titans.
Edwards has had a slow start to his first year in Los Angeles, but he is a veteran running back who is perfect for what Jim Harbaugh likes to do on offense. He can still play a large factor for the Chargers this season.
If Edwards is active, expect Vidal to be a healthy scratch as the Chargers like to use the other running back on the 53-man roster — Hassan Haskins — on special teams.
