Week 8 marks the potential return for Rams star receiver Cooper Kupp, who went down in Week 2 with an ankle injury and narrowly avoided a stint on the Injured Reserve. He was questionable for the team’s most recent matchup against the Raiders but ended up on the sideline once more.

The 2022 Super Bowl MVP returned to practice last week after a bye, logging three straight limited practices before failing to take the field Sunday. On Monday, the Rams listed Kupp as a full participant at practice, indicating he is on track to make his first appearance in over a month during Thursday’s game against the Vikings.

That update came less than 24 hours before reports emerged that the team is considering trading its premier pass-catcher before the Nov. 5 deadline. With that deadline fast approaching, it’s possible Kupp could join the likes of Davante Adams (Raiders to Jets) and Amari Cooper (Browns to Bills) in the next few weeks.

Here’s everything to know about Kupp’s trade rumors, including the latest news on the Chiefs, 49ers and other potential landing spots for the Rams receiver.

The Rams wide receiver publicly addressed the trade rumors surrounding him on Tuesday night while speaking to media. Kupp said he has to keep controlling the things he can, which currently means “being the best LA Ram that I can be.”

“I’m aware of it, but at the end of the day I’m going to be where my feet are,” Kupp said, per the O.C. Register. “That’s all I know. I have a job to do here.”

On Tuesday, Oct. 22, Dianna Russini of The Athletic reported that the Rams “have called multiple teams about trading former Super Bowl MVP Cooper Kupp.” She added the team has “indicated a willingness to take on some” of his 2024 salary and is seeking at least a second round pick in return.

If Kupp is traded, the Chiefs, 49ers and Steelers could be among the teams interested in the Los Angeles star. Kansas City and San Francisco are battling WR injuries and the Steelers have reportedly been in the market for a WR since the offseason. The Buccaneers could also be in the market for a wideout after Mike Evans and Chris Godwin got hurt in Week 7.
