Barcelona closes its preseason today against AS Monaco with Dani Olmo ready for his club debut.
The Blaugrana host the French side in their opening match of the annual campaign at the Estadi Olímpic Lluís Companys with Spanish star Olmo ready for action.
Ahead of the 2023/24 La Liga season, Barcelona have completed a major transfer deal to bring Olmo back to the club in a €60 million ($65 million) move from RB Leipzig.
The 26-year-old has eased back into pre-season training in recent days following an extended summer break after playing a key role in Spain’s Euro 2024 triumph.
His quick adaptation has impressed coach Hansi Flick and the former Bayern Munich boss is ready to give him some playing time against AS Monaco.
However, with Flick still looking to manage the team’s comeback following a busy summer of international action, Olmo will likely start on the bench.
