Just a few years ago, Tom Brady and Julian Edelman were connecting for first downs and touchdowns while winning the Super Bowl for the New England Patriots.
Brady won six Super Bowls for New England in 20 seasons, and Edelman was there for three of them. The quarterback left the team after 2019 and won another Super Bowl with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers while Julian Edelman returned to the Patriots for the 2020 season, but he suffered a season-ending injury just six games into his senior year.
Today, they are both retired and involved in the media surrounding the game, with Brady starting his second career as a top color commentator for FOX and Edelman appearing on several shows, including his own podcast “Games With Names.”
Brady even posts vlog content on his own YouTube channel, and this week he posted a video with Edelman where the two watched some of the quarterback’s highlights.
This video was incredible because viewers got to hear two of the brightest minds in New England football talk about the game. It’s also incredible to hear the two players tease each other over and over again. They’re constantly bickering about anything and everything.
This is an impressive glimpse into their relationship. I hope there will be more in the future.
