Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag is concerned about his side’s ability to compete next season if they do not bring in more new faces.
The Red Devils have already made two big signings this month after completing a deal to sign long-term target Joshua Zirkzee from Bologna.
The pace of new arrivals has not slowed at Old Trafford, however, with Ten Hag also pulling off a superb move to pip Real Madrid in the race for highly-rated French defender Leny Yoro.
The moves for Zirkzee and Yoro will improve United’s side next season, with high-earning stars Raphael Varane, Donny van de Beek and Mason Greenwood set to leave as part of the Dutchman’s rebuild.

Ten Hag looked almost certain to be axed by the United hierarchy at the end of last season but a shock FA Cup final win over rivals Manchester City has offered him a second chance, and he insists there is still work to do.
“We are not the only team that had problems with injuries last season, other clubs had the same. But, at a certain point, we had almost no defenders available,” he said in an interview with a Dutch outlet. General information sheet.

Ten Hag’s side lost 1-0 to Rosenborg in their first pre-season friendly and will face Rangers in Glasgow on July 20 before embarking on a summer tour of the United States.
