Tottenham fans endured a frustrating weekend as they lost 1-0 in the Premier League derby at home to rivals Arsenal.
The Gunners secured a third consecutive Premier League away win against Spurs as Gabriel Magalhaes’ second-half header sealed all three points for Mikel Arteta.
However, despite the disappointment of another defeat to Arsenal, Spurs won a minor derby before a ball was kicked at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
Both sets of supporters are always keen to get the upper hand on each other and former Spurs striker Troy Parrott did just that with four goals for Dutch side AZ Alkmaar.
The Irish international left Tottenham permanently in the summer after a loan spell in the Netherlands with Excelsior and scored a first career four-goal win against Heerenveen.

Spurs fans keeping an eye on Parrott’s progress will be pleased to see the result be a record 9-1 win over a side managed by former Arsenal star Robin van Persie.
Van Perise took charge at Heerenveen in the summer, but Parrott’s incredible performance set an unwanted record, as the heaviest defeat in the club’s history, in van Persie’s fourth game in charge.
Parrott got off to a flying start in Holland and the home fans serenaded him: “Your defence is terrified, Parrott is on fire at the end of the game.”

Parrott’s reunion with Tottenham is already on the cards for the coming months as Spurs face AZ Alkmaar in the UEFA Europa League second leg on October 24 in London.
