We may still be in the middle of the current Formula 1 campaign, but planning for the 2025 season is well underway.
The geographical planning of F1 races has come under criticism in recent years, and efforts have therefore been made to create a more logical and environmentally sustainable calendar.
Another significant change is that Melbourne will host the season opener for the first time since 2019, with the Australian Grand Prix scheduled for mid-March.

F1 2025 Calendar
The 2025 F1 season will again feature 24 races, with no changes to the host cities.
It will all start at Albert Park in Australia, followed by four consecutive races in Asia.
The Bahrain and Saudi Arabian Grands Prix will both take place in April because Ramadan falls in March.
Miami will follow, before the action heads to Europe in May.
Apart from a one-off trip to Canada, the races will take place exclusively on the continent until September, with the traditional European summer break scheduled for July.
Azerbaijan and Singapore are next on the schedule, then F1 will head to the Americas, with Grands Prix taking place in the United States (Las Vegas and Austin), Mexico and Brazil.
The final two races of the season will take place in the Middle East, with Abu Dhabi as usual hosting the finale in 2025.
F1 2025 Sprint Race Schedule
Sprint racing will remain in effect in 2025, with six tracks designated to host the format.
The first sprint weekend will take place at the second Grand Prix of the season in China, followed by Miami in May.
Two months later, Belgium will host a sprint race.
The last three selected Grands Prix will take place just over a month apart: Austin, Brazil and Qatar.

Confirmed drivers and starting grid for F1 2025
Lewis Hamilton’s move from Mercedes to Ferrari has sparked some driver moves for 2025.
Red Bull have announced they will retain Sergio Perez next year, while Yuki Tsunoda and Pierre Gasly will also sign extensions with their current teams.
Nico Hulkenberg will join Sauber for 2025, while F2 driver Ollie Bearman will make his full-time F1 debut with Haas, partnering former Alpine driver Esteban Ocon.
On the first day of F1’s 2024 summer break, Carlos Sainz announced he would join Williams for the 2025 season.
Jack Doohan is the final driver confirmed for next year, with the Alpine Academy rider promoted to a full-time role.
