Tennis is returning to New York, and not just for the US Open. For the first time since 2018, Madison Square Garden will host the Garden Cup.
The world’s most famous venue first hosted tennis events in 1968, but began its one-night-only competitions in 2008, featuring players like Roger Federer, Serena and Venus Williams, Maria Sharapova, Andy Murray and many more. When it returns in 2024, the Garden Cup will welcome some of the biggest names in tennis like Jessica Pegula, Emma Navarro, Ben Shelton and Carlos Alcarez.
For one night only in December, men’s and women’s competitors will compete inside the Garden, in one of the most unique tennis atmospheres in the world. If you thought the US Open was a tournament to remember, mark your calendar for December 4.

Tickets for the Garden Cup 2024
Tickets for this year’s Garden Cup tennis tournament at MSG officially go on sale Monday, September 16 at 10 a.m. ET, but pre-sale event passes are available now at StubHub.
Currently, the cheapest price To see the double-header, it costs about $120 for 200-level seats. 200-level seats cost about $250, while floor tickets cost $630.

When will the 2024 Garden Cup take place?

The 2024 Garden Cup will take place on Wednesday, December 4 with first serve at 7 p.m. ET.
Garden Cup 2024 fixtures and players
The Garden Cup will feature some of the world’s best players, Ben Shelton and Carlos Alcaraz, as well as Jessica Pegula and Emma Navarro.
Pegula and Navarro, ranked third and eighth in the WTA rankings, had career-best runs at this year’s US Open. Both reached the semifinals and, while Navarro lost to Aryna Sabalenka, Pegula advanced to the final where she finished runner-up.
At the US Open, Shelton (17) lost in the round of 32 to eventual semifinalist Frances Tiafoe, although Shelton had a career-best result at last year’s tournament as a semifinalist. Alcaraz, the world No. 3, was upset in the round of 32. The Spaniard won the 2022 US Open as well as the 2024 French Open and Wimbledon in 2023 and 2024.
