George Pickens didn’t have anything bad to say about the Pittsburgh Steelers during his introductory press conference following the trade to the Dallas Cowboys last week, but you knew it was coming at some point.

Pickens claimed he was maturing during the aforementioned press conference, but he quickly showed on Sunday that is absolutely not the case when he publicly ripped his former team for being cheap.

Pickens made the comment in the replies to an Instagram post but has since deleted it. However, as we all know, the internet is far too fast for him to get away with something like that.

We linked to a screenshot of the post below if you want to check it out for yourself, but warning: NSFW language.

“They the cheapest organization,” Pickens wrote. “Ain’t no stacking year after year they gone let them [expletive] go too soon as it’s time.”

This is one of many reasons why the Steelers didn’t pay Pickens and cut him loose instead. When things go bad for him, it brings out the worst in Pickens.

The former second-rounder has a volatile attitude and there’s no telling what he’ll do or say at any given moment. On top of that, he showed up late for work on several occasions, according to reports.

All of that gives Pickens the potential to be a locker room cancer, which is what makes him such a risk.

If the Steelers were cheap, they wouldn’t have handed out a $132 million extension to DK Metcalf. Pickens didn’t get his extension because of Pickens, not because of the Steelers.

There will definitely be a honeymoon period between Pickens and the Cowboys. But, rest assured, if things go south, so will Pickens’ attitude.
