Jake Paul will bring his talents to Netflix as the streaming service enters the world of combat sports to present Paul Vs. the legendary Mike Tyson on July 20.
Paul, 27, has fought retired MMA fighters and NBA players in his short boxing career. The YouTuber lost to Tommy Fury in early 2023, his first fight against a legitimate boxer. “The Problem Child” then finished the year with a knockout victory against boxer Andre August before beating Ryan Bourland via technical knockout in March.
Many criticized the former Disney star’s performance and opponent, stating that he wasn’t facing anyone worth watching. Paul responded with Tyson, 57, one of the most feared men in boxing at one time.
“I want to see how hard it hits. Let’s look at all the legends, the myths, because you are Iron Mike Tyson, but I have an iron chin, people know it,” Paul said in the Bachelor Podcast through Mirror. “I take injections. I think people are underestimating my ability to deal with his power, and that’s something that will make it interesting. I’m biting a lot. This is definitely the toughest, most savage and lethal opponent regardless of age, because power is the last thing you lose.”

Known as “The Baddest Man on the Planet,” Tyson turned professional in 1985. Tyson won 44 fights via ferocious knockout punches. Tyson, the former undisputed heavyweight champion, retired in 2005 with a loss to Kevin McBride. He returned to action in 2020 to face Roy Jones Jr. in an exhibition fight.
It is unknown if this is a professional or exhibition fight, but both will try to do their best anyway.
