Originally, Echo devices were intended to include audio-only control, allowing you, the user, to tell Alexa to do whatever you wanted it to do. That was until the introduction of the Echo Show, which could be described as the tablet version of the Amazon Echo.
The Echo Show line is slightly different from other Alexa devices, with more customization options and a screen to show the weather, give you recipes, and your favorite photos. If you have an Echo Show, read on to learn how to delete photos.

How to delete photos from Echo Show
The Echo Show is capable of syncing personal photos with some services. For example, you can link your Prime Photos account, your Facebook account, and upload photos from your phone. If you choose to link your Facebook or Prime Photos accounts, you’ll be able to view daily photos from previous years. No matter where Alexa gets your photos from, you can easily delete them.
Despite all its customization options, you may not want to display your personal photos for everyone to see. If that’s the case, follow these steps to delete your photos from your Echo Show:
- Open the alexa app on your smartphone or tablet. Tap on Devices in the background.

- Tap on Echo and Alexa.

- Now, tap on your Echo Show in the list.

- Tap on Viewing photos.

- Turn off the options next to daily memories and This day. These options show you photos from your Prime Photos account if you have enabled the feature.

- Tap on Photos uploaded.

- Tap the check mark next to any photo you want to remove from your program screen.

- If you want to disable the Photos uploaded To fully operate, tap the toggle switch in the upper right corner.
Now, the photo or photos that you don’t want to see on your Echo Show will no longer appear.
More background options
Maybe you don’t want your personal photos displayed on your Echo Show. Or maybe you want to change them. Whatever your home screen goals are, we’ll look at photo alternatives in this section.

Add starter cards
What are Amazon Home Cards? Android phone and tablet users may see a resemblance to widgets. Basically, the Echo Show is equipped with more useful features than just the clock and background. With Home Cards, you can display messages, reminders, notifications, upcoming events, trending topics, weather, walk-ins, and other features on your home screen.
You can set them to play continuously (the clock will no longer appear all the time) or to appear whenever a notification arrives. Go to the settings screen again (gear icon), followed by Home and clockand look for the Starter cards feature in the list. From this menu, you can choose which cards you want to see and how you want them to be displayed (continuously or based on notifications).
night mode
Night mode dims your Echo Show’s screen and filters notifications so they don’t bother you (you could be sleeping or doing another activity in the bedroom, who knows?). Night mode is activated from the Home and clock menu.
