How to Permanently Delete Your Plenty of Fish Account on iPhone/iOS or Android

Unfortunately, you can’t delete your POF account using the iPhone or Android app (probably for security reasons). You will need to use a mobile web browser such as Chrome, Safari or Mozilla.

2. Answer the questions displayed and then click Delete account.

How to hide your Plenty of Fish profile on Windows, macOS, Chromebook or Linux

If you just want a break from dating for a while but think you want to return to Plenty of Fish at a later date, hiding your profile is probably the best option.

This is the perfect option for anyone who is not willing to permanently delete everything on their Plenty of Fish account. Maybe you’re holding on to some memories or just want to take a break; Either way, follow these steps to hide your profile:

1. Navigate to http://www.pof.com and log in to your Plenty of Fish account.
2. Now click My profile at the top of the web page and then select Edit profile either My profile.
   
3. Scroll down to Profile Visibility and click on the bubble next to it Hide profile.
   

Your profile will no longer appear in any suggestions or search results. If you want to show your profile and at any time, simply follow the same steps to get back on the market.

It is worth mentioning that several users have complained that this option is missing and, according to our tests, it also gave us some problems. Our solution was to use incognito mode to access the Plenty of Fish website.

Can I reactivate a deleted account?

Unfortunately not. When you follow the steps above to delete your account, there is no option to reactivate it. However, if the POF team deletes your account for spam or community guidelines violations, you can send an email to see if they will reactivate your account for you.

How can I cancel my account if I can’t log in?

This is a fairly common question. People often open accounts and then neglect them for a long time. When you finally decide to cancel the account, you may have forgotten your login information. Of course, if you remember your email address or username, you can select the Have you forgotten your password link from the login page.

Please note that you can open your email client and search for “Plenty of Fish” using the search bar. When you first signed up for the service, you received a confirmation email. Check which address it was sent to and use that email address to recover your account so you can cancel it.

But, if you forgot those two details, you may need to contact POF support.

Can anyone find me by searching for my username?

Contrary to popular belief, yes. Another user can find your account by searching for your username. But this is only available for paid accounts. If you have an active paid subscription with POF, the search bar will appear. From here you can search for any other user on the platform.
