32-bit Windows does not use all the RAM

The 32-bit version can allocate only 4 GB of RAM regardless of the amount of RAM installed in the PC and uses approximately 1 GB for the operating system. 64-bit versions of Windows have a much higher limit starting at 128 GB. If you want to use more than 4 GB, you will need to install the 64-bit version to use the full amount of RAM.
