At some point, all Facebook users send friend requests to make new connections. You may have found your high school classmate on Facebook, a former colleague, or you simply like the person’s photo or profile information and would like to contact them. Over time, requests can pile up and you can lose track of everyone you’ve sent them to. In this case, accessing and managing a list of all the users you have asked for friendship can be of great help to clean up your data and your Meta Facebook account.

In this article, you’ll see how to view your pending sent and received friend requests and how to manage them all on Facebook.

How to View Sent/Received Friend Requests in the Facebook Windows App
Accessing sent friend requests in the Windows Facebook app is a great feature because it allows you to see everyone you’ve tried to connect with on a larger screen. While doing this, you will also be able to view any pending requests received. You can then manage both lists and cancel old requests as needed.
The process to view sent and received pending Facebook friend requests (and manage them) in the Windows app is similar to using a browser. You can follow the browser steps above, but you need to maximize or expand the Facebook app window to get the left navigation menu. However, here is another method that serves as a safe way to view sent and received Facebook friend requests that are pending.
- Open the windows “Facebook” application. If a “Friend Requests” section appears in the upper right corner, click “See everything” and skip to “Step 6”. The option may not always be there. Otherwise, go to “Step 2”.

- Click on your “account” Icon (profile) in the upper right section.

- Select the profile you want to check for friend requests. You usually only have one.

- Click on the “Friends” tab at the top of the main window.

- Click on “Friend requests.”

- In the “Friends” menu that appears, select “Friend requests.”

- In the “Friend Requests” menu, you can view and manage received Awaiting requests. Otherwise, select “View submitted requests” to view/manage the pending items you sent.

- All pending friend requests you sent appear in a pop-up frame. Click on “Cancel request” for each profile as you see fit.

While you may have wanted to add a Facebook user at some point, the interest may no longer exist. It’s possible that the person also doesn’t want to respond to your friend request and is simply ignoring it. Either way, now you know how to see all the users you’ve sent a friend request to on Facebook and manage them in addition to the ones you received.
