The 2024 US Open is finally here, and massive crowds are expected at Flushing Meadows to kick off the final Grand Slam tournament of the year. Novak Djokovic and American Coco Gauff are the reigning ATP and WTA champions, respectively, and both are hoping to win back-to-back titles.
Despite their victories in 2023, neither Djokovic nor Gauff are seeded number one in the ATP and WTA rankings heading into the tournament, with Jannik Sinner leading the men’s singles rankings by virtue of his world number one status. Carlos Alcaraz beat Olympic champion Djokovic in three sets in the last Grand Slam final at Wimbledon, but is seeded number three.
Women’s ranking leader Iga Swiatek is the top seed in the women’s competition, ahead of third-seeded Gauff and also behind second seed Aryna Sabalenka, whom she beat 2-6, 6-3, 6-2 in last year’s final. Fellow American stars Jessica Pegula, Danielle Collins, Emma Navarro and Madison Keys are all among the top 14 seeds at the 2024 Open.

2024 US Open Tennis Match Schedule
The first round of matches in the ATP and WTA singles competitions begins on Monday August 26, with the order of play most days starting at 11:00 local time (ET) in the first, second, third and fourth (last 16) rounds.
The two days of quarter-finals will start from 12:00 PM ETwhile the WTA and ATP semi-finals on the following two evenings will begin at 7:00 PM ET And 3:00 PM ET respectively.
