It’s that time of year again when Apple users are holding on tight to their iPhones, waiting for the next iOS update to come out. And this time, there’s a lot to look forward to, with a new icon theme, a redesigned Control Center, a Photos app, and of course, RCS on iMessage. Not to mention all the features that are coming with Apple Intelligence. iOS 18 Release Date
Apple announced at its Glowtime launch event for the iPhone 16 that the iOS 18 update will arrive on September 16, 2024, on compatible devices. iPadOS 18 will also be released at the same time.
Apple simultaneously released the iOS 18 and iPadOS beta at its WWDC event held in June this year. This gave us a glimpse of all the new changes coming with the new software version and if you are too impatient to wait, use this guide to install the iOS 18 beta on your iPhone.

Devices compatible with iOS 18
All iPhones that received the iOS 17 update are also eligible to get iOS 18. This includes the older iPhone XR, XS, and XS Max all the way back to last year’s iPhone 15 series. And of course, the new iPhone 16 lineup will come with the latest software out of the box. You can read our article for a full list of features. All models in the new iPhone 16 series come with iOS 17 out of the box.
