Liverpool have set out their stance over January transfer sales at Anfield with Arne Slot’s side enjoying a superb start to the 2024/25 season.
The Dutch coach has hit the ground running on Merseyside, with eight wins from their opening 10 Premier League games, and four wins from four in the UEFA Champions League.
That streak of form puts the Reds top of both tables, with a two-point lead over Manchester City in the EPL, and the same gap ahead of Sporting CP in the UCL.
Contract talks are also a major focus at the club with discussions ongoing on extensions for Trent Alexander-Arnold, Virgil van Dijk and Mohamed Salah.
All three have been crucial to Slot’s start, and the club are working on deals to retain them, as the trio enter the final six months of their respective contracts at the start of 2025.
No agreement before then would allow for potential free transfer talks with non Premier League clubs to begin but they cannot leave for free until the end of the campaign.
The club has remained tight-lipped over the progress of negotiations, but despite January representing their final chance to bring in a transfer fee for each player, there will be no sales.
As per an update from Football Insider, Liverpool are aware of rumours on Real Madrid making an early move for Alexander-Arnold and growing Saudi Pro League interest in Salah, but they will not allow any exits.
Slot is keen to keep his group together until at least the end of the season with Federico Chiesa and Wataru Endo both set to stay despite a lack of game time.
