Tomorrow, things get serious for the Seattle Seahawks, who have played well against AFC scum so far, starting the season with a 2-0 record. This week, they host the Miami Dolphins, who are the first playoff contenders on their 2024 regular season schedule.

We have several superlative-worthy matches to watch this week, even with Tua Tagovailoa on IRHere are a few we’ll be watching on Sunday afternoon.

Riq Woollen vs Tyreek Hill

The truth is, no one stops Tyreek Hill one-on-one and it will take a total team effort—or at least the entire defense working together—to contain him. However, if they decide to play Hill, their best option is third-year cornerback Riq Woolen, who may be able to match Hill’s speed in the open field. Those who have tried, however, have not fared well. Hill led the NFL with nearly 1,800 receiving yards and 13 touchdowns in 2023.

On the other hand, Woolen also has remarkable athleticism and has had a stellar start to the season. So far, Woolen has allowed just two receptions on eight targets, giving up 14 total yards and a zero passer rating in coverage. Woolen also has nine career interceptions in just 35 games.

DK Metcalf vs Jalen Ramsey

When the field is reversed, we could see another very spicy matchup between a wide receiver and a cornerback when Seahawks star DK Metcalf lines up against former NFC West rival Jalen Ramsey. While there’s no doubt that Ramsey is one of the best cornerbacks in the game (His new contract is proof enough.), Metcalf has gotten the better of him more often than not in their previous battles.

Leonard Williams vs. Dolphins

Seattle’s most disruptive lineman so far this season has been Leonard Williams. Heading into Week 3, he already has 1.5 sacks and eight quarterback hits. who ranks second in the league behind rising Detroit Lions superstar Aidan Hutchinson. In the league, only Poona Ford, Cameron Heyward and Dexter Lawrence got a higher rating Among interior defenders this season, Miami’s team of Robert Jones, Aaron Brewer and Liam Eichenberg may have no choice but to pair with Williams, opening up opportunities for Byron Murphy II and others.

Mike Macdonald vs. Mike McDaniel

Perhaps the most interesting matchup will come on the bench, where we’ll see the league’s hottest young defensive head coach face off against the league’s hottest young offensive head coach. McDaniel’s absence at quarterback should give Macdonald the edge he needs to prevail, but don’t expect it to be easy. This could be a battle of X’s and O’s forever.
