Barcelona’s rising star Lamine Yamal has finally opened up about his relationship with veteran striker Robert Lewandowski.
The teenage sensation admitted that last season wasn’t the easiest for their partnership, but things have improved.
During a match against Sevilla, tensions were high when Yamal chose to shoot instead of passing to an open Lewandowski.
His shot hit the crossbar, and Lewandowski was visibly frustrated. The Polish striker gestured in disappointment, sparking speculation of a rift between the two players.

Speaking to Mundo Deportivo, Yamal clarified that any issues from last season are now behind them.
“Very well, we all get along really well this year,” Yamal said when asked about his relationship with Lewandowski.
He acknowledged that last year was difficult for both the club and the players.
“It’s true that maybe last year, the context we were in, both as a club and as individuals, wasn’t the best,” he explained.

Yamal pointed out that veteran players like Lewandowski, who has won the Champions League, may sometimes feel more pressure. Meanwhile, younger players like himself bring a different kind of energy to the game.
“It’s normal, these things happen, and this year I think it’s clear that we’re doing great,” Yamal added.
“Both Rapha and Robert with me, and me with Rapha and Robert… We’re perfect and eager to keep scoring goals.”
With their chemistry improving, Yamal and Lewandowski will aim to shine in Barcelona’s upcoming matches. The team faces Las Palmas on February 22, followed by a Copa del Rey semifinal clash against Atletico Madrid.
