Rajon Rondo is reportedly facing gun and drug charges in Indiana after being arrested over the weekend.
The former NBA guard was arrested in Jackson County, Indiana, on Sunday afternoon, according to WDRB. After the officer smelled marijuana from the car, a search was conducted where a gun and drug paraphernalia were found.
Rondo, 37, was taken to the Jackson County Jail, where he has since posted bond.
A 16-year NBA veteran, the former point guard won two NBA titles during his career, one with the Celtics in 2008 and another with the Lakers in 2020. The four-time All-Star last appeared in the league in 2021. -22 season.

What did Rajon Rondo do?
On Sunday afternoon, Rondo was stopped for a traffic violation in Jackson County, Indiana. During the stop, the arresting officer smelled marijuana in Rondo’s car, according to ISP spokesman Sgt. Esteban Ruedas.
That led to a search of the vehicle, which resulted in the discovery of a gun, a quantity of marijuana for “personal use” and drug paraphernalia. All charges are misdemeanors.
Rondo was not supposed to carry a firearm due to a no-contact order issued against him in court. according to WDRB. In 2022, a Louisville woman sought an emergency protective order against Rondo after saying he threatened her with a gun and that she feared for the safety of her children. She said Rondo had a history of “volatile and erratic activities.” [and] Explosive behavior.”
She was granted a protective order by a judge days after the incident and, as a result, Rondo was ordered to surrender all firearms.
WDRB could not immediately reach an attorney for Rondo for comment, and it is not yet clear what date he is expected to be arraigned in court.
