Subriel Matías will put his IBF super lightweight world title on the line against undefeated Australian Liam Paro in Puerto Rico on June 15.
With 20 knockout victories in 21 professional fights, Matías has earned a reputation as one of the most devastating finishers in the sport.
The 31-year-old Puerto Rican will now have the opportunity to defend his belt in front of his adoring home fans at the Juan Aubin Cruz Abreu Coliseum. against the wily Queenslander.
Paro, 27, is perfect in 24 fights and most recently scored an eye-catching knockout victory over Montana Love in September.
The southpaw has previously been ranked as the WBO number one contender and is currently ranked sixth in the IBF rankings at 140 pounds.
Both fighters are promoted by Matchroom Boxing and the fight will be broadcast live globally on DAZN.
