Arsenal goalkeeper David Raya has won the Premier League Golden Glove for the 2023/24 season.
The Spaniard finished with 16 clean sheets, underlining the Gunners’ defensive strength throughout a campaign in which they finished just short of a title race eventually won by Manchester City.
Raya will likely be the man to beat again in 2024/25, with his main challengers being Manchester City’s Ederson and Liverpool’s No.1 Alisson. Everton’s Jordan Pickford finished second in the Golden Glove race last season, but the Toffees will need to strengthen defensively if they are to give the England international a chance.

What is the Premier League Golden Glove?
The Golden Glove is awarded to the goalkeeper who keeps the most clean sheets in a Premier League season. A ‘clean sheet’ is defined as a complete match in which a team does not concede a goal.
While multiple goalkeepers have kept the same number of clean sheets in a season, the Golden Glove award is shared. That was the case in 2021/22, when Manchester City’s Ederson and Liverpool’s Alisson each kept 20 clean sheets for their respective teams.
The award has been presented every season since the 2004/05 season. Chelsea’s Petr Cech was the first recipient, managing to keep 24 clean sheets that season for Chelsea, a figure which still stands as the single-season record in the competition.
Last season, David Raya won the award after recording 16 clean sheets for Arsenal, who finished second in the table behind champions Manchester City.
