Tottenham Hotspur will aim to keep their season alive when they face AZ Alkmaar in the UEFA Europa League Round of 16 second leg.
Spurs are trailing 1-0 following the first leg in the Netherlands last week, so Ange Postecoglou and his players know that anything but a win on home turf will see them eliminated.
The spirited comeback to draw with Bournemouth at the weekend showed the players are prepared to graft for their manager, but another disappointing performance here would end Postecoglou’s hopes of delivering on his promise to win a trophy this season and ruin their best chance of qualifying for European football for 2025/26.

The big loss for Spurs is in midfield, with Rodrigo Bentancur suspended after receiving a third yellow card of the tournament in the first leg.
Kevin Danso is also out with a hamstring injury, but with Ben Davies available again after four games out and both Micky van de Ven and Cristian Romero back to match fitness, the defence is looking much stronger. The latter two both start at centre-back today, with Davies among the subs.
Lucas Bergvall and James Maddison join Pape Matar Sarr in midfield, while Wilson Odobert gets another start in attack.
