The Savannah Bananas are back for another season of their wild and wacky brand of baseball.
This year’s team will take Banana Ball to several locations, including six MLB stadiums. The Bananas are set to play the biggest game in Banana Ball history at Citizens Bank Park, which is the home of the Philadelphia Phillies.
When the Savannah Bananas take the field, you know you’re going to see a sporting event like no other. The unusual rules, the interactions with fans, the choreographed dances – there’s no need to question Banana Ball. Just accept the madness.

Savannah Bananas Tour Schedule 2024
The Savannah Bananas will stop in 26 cities this year. They will play their first road game of the season in Tampa, Florida, and their final game in Miami.
Most Savannah Bananas games will be played against Party Animals. While the teams may share a dynamic similar to the rivalry between the Harlem Globetrotters and Washington Generals, the games are never written. The Bananas and the Party People are trying to win.
Celebrations and dances, however, are always planned before the games begin. (Preparation is important, friends.)

Banana ball rules
Banana Ball has 11 rules that are designed to add more entertainment value to the game and eliminate long periods of no action.
- Each entry is worth one point. The team that wins the inning gets the point for that inning. In the last inning of the game, every run counts.
- You cannot start a new entry after two hours of play.
- A hitter cannot get out of the box. If a batter exits, a strike will be added to the count.
- A batter is not allowed to bunt.
- A batter may attempt to steal first base on any pitch in an at-bat.
- There are no walks. If a pitcher throws four balls, all defensive players on the field must touch the ball before it is live. A batter may advance to as many bases as possible.
- Catchers and coaches are not allowed to visit the mound.
- If a fan catches a foul ball, the catch results in an out.
- If the game is tied at the end of the time limit, the Showdown tiebreaker will decide which team wins the game.
- Each team may challenge one rule on the field (fair ball/foul calls, forced play/tagout calls, and trapped play calls). Fans will also have the ability to challenge a rule during the game.
- The Golden Hitter Rule allows a team to send any batter to bat anywhere in the lineup. It can only be used once per game.
