Microsoft has just announced the second wave of games coming to its Xbox Game Pass subscription service before the end of the month. It’s about a eclectic lineup to say the least, and one that includes what could turn out to be genuine gems that could grace our list of the best Xbox Series X games one day.
Probably the most exciting of the bunch is Manor Lords, developed by Slavic Magic and coming out as a day one exclusive on April 26. This grand medieval strategy game is the most desired game on Steam and features extensive tactical skirmishes and social simulation. elements and complex construction of the city. If you’re a subscriber to the base Game Pass Core tier, a trio of titles will be heading to the subscription service’s cheapest tier on April 23. They’re actually pretty exciting too. The highly rated co-op shooter Dwarf in Deep Rock Galactic, the stylish slow-motion FPS spin-off Superhot: Mind Control Delete, and the racer Wreckfest are all worth checking out.
I’m actually playing Wreckfest on my Steam Deck OLED right now and it’s an amazing throwback to Destruction Derby that combines racing against aggressive AI drivers and full-on last-car-standing arena battles. I think it’s a fantastic racing game that has gone unnoticed by many players.
This is definitely one of the most varied Game Pass lineups I’ve seen in a long time, and it’s intriguing enough to get me firing up my Series X for the first time in months.
