When it comes to the craziest TV sex scene of 2024, Fall takes the cake, despite American Horror Story: Delicate being one of the first contenders.
The series, produced by Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy, follows a group of survivors more than 200 years after an apocalyptic nuclear disaster. Annabel O’Hagan plays shelter resident Stephanie “Steph” Harper, who is pregnant and recently widowed.
While going through her late husband Bert’s belongings in Fall In episode 4 (“The Ghouls”), Steph decides to offer some items to her acquaintance Chet (Dave Register).
They go through Bert’s things together and comment on his shoes and clothes, and Steph begins dressing Chet in Bert’s clothes. The grieving widow mocks Chet, calling him “Bert” as she hugs and kisses him.
Can you see where this is going?
The two begin to connect, and Steph makes the first move. Chet doesn’t seem to mind that she calls him the wrong name. She begins to take off Bert’s clothes as her kiss becomes more intense, but Steph instructs her to continue wearing the clothes.
The two move over to Chet’s bed and Steph sits on his lap while he pulls down her pants. “Now, that’s one wet lady,” she says, causing Steph to quickly stand up. “Woah, woah,” he says as he steps away from the bed and doubles over in pain. Steph screams Bert’s name as his water breaks in the center of the room, and Chet watches uselessly in shock.
Gross, gross, gross. Well, that’s a sure way to kill an erection.
Fall It’s an exciting combination of crazy humor and intense action sequences, and this scene shows how good the show is at both. Steph’s relationship with Chet was a major development in their relationship, as romantic partnerships tend to be arranged in the Vault. However, the show reminds viewers not to take things too seriously by interrupting Steph and Chet’s intense cuddling with Steph’s delivery at an inconvenient time.
Disgusting, traumatizing and funny, the show leaves its viewers feeling a little of everything.
