Donkey Star Steve-O claims he turned down an invitation to appear on Bill Maher’s podcast because the night reportedly refused to budge on what Steve-O says was a major “dealing factor” for him.
During a recent episode of his Wild ride! On the podcast, Steve-O revealed that he had asked Maher to refrain from smoking marijuana during his podcast interview, something Maher has been known to do in his Random club podcast, but Maher allegedly refused.
“I’m a clean and sober guy. “It is very important that I maintain my sobriety, I am approaching 16,” Steve-O explained. “I’m about to turn 16 years old. Truly, there is nothing I value more than my sobriety. There is nothing more protective than my recovery.”
He continued: “I found it a little annoying when Bill Maher’s podcast came around and he smokes weed all the time while interviewing people. I told him he would be happy to stay there, but while I’m at it, out of respect for my sobriety, could he please refrain from smoking marijuana? He said no and that is a deciding factor.”
The former reality TV star noted that he had appeared on other podcasts where the hosts were known to smoke marijuana, including the Mike Tyson show. Hotboxing with Mike Tysonbut they refrained from smoking out of respect for Steve-O’s sobriety.
“Mike Tyson’s podcast is called Hotboxin”Steve-O said. “Be real! For all these prolific stoners, I’ve been on their shows and blowing pot smoke in my face wasn’t that big a deal for them, but for Bill Maher it was a deal breaker.”

As Variety As he notes in his report, Maher has refrained from smoking marijuana on the podcast before. She pointedly told Sheryl Crow that she would “never light one up in front of her” and that she did not smoke during the interview.
Maher has described himself as a “situational pot smoker,” and said Los Angeles Magazine“I would never take drugs to doReal time. I can do stand-up loud because I don’t have to worry about the clock. I like it for sex. And I like it for writing.”
Steve-O has been open about his journey to getting sober for 15 years.
“It’s been more of an exercise in realizing that I don’t know how to control anything and accepting that moderation is not my strong suit,” Steve-O said. People in 2022. “Accepting who you are and what happens with that is not going to change, I think that’s a big part for me. “I have come to accept that I will never be a moderate guy.”
In 2022, she published a second memoir and a “self-help” guide offering advice on “growing without aging.”
