The Philadelphia 76ers may be without one of their key weapons heading into Monday night’s game against the New York Knicks, trailing 1-0 in their first-round playoff series.
Sixers shootaround reports On Monday morning they noticed that point guard Tyrese Maxey was not present and had been designated as questionable for that night’s game due to an illness.
If Maxey couldn’t play against the Knicks, it would be a blow to the Sixers’ hopes of tying the series. Maxey led Philadelphia in scoring in Game 1 on Saturday night, putting up 33 points against New York.
Game two of the series begins at Madison Square Garden at 7 p.m. ET on Monday night.
