The UFC Apex facility in Las Vegas is undergoing a major expansion and the end result could be more events at the venue.
The news of the expansion was revealed by Ken Hathaway of MMA Road Show and MMA Junkie.

“UFC Apex is currently undergoing some expansions, making room for things like more bathrooms and a ticket booth,” Hathaway reported on X. “It appears some major pain points are being addressed for future events at the venue. This opens the door for many more events to be held in the space.”
UFC Apex opened in 2019 and has since been the site of roughly 100 events for the promotion. During the pandemic, the venue hosted several major PPVs, but since then, most events have been smaller in scale, with only a few ranked fighters competing at a time.
The venue can only hold about 1,000 spectators, so it offers a very different (i.e. quieter) atmosphere than a typical stadium show.
While the ongoing expansion of the facility could lead to more UFC events at the Apex, Hathaway noted in a follow-up post that it is more likely to lead to other types of events at the venue, such as professional wrestling shows, concerts and stand-up comedy performances.
He also noted that he heard the expansion will take approximately four months to complete.
The next event at UFC Apex is scheduled for Saturday, July 20. The card will be headlined by a strawweight clash between ranked contenders Amanda Lemos and Virna Jandiroba. There is not a single ranked fighter on the card beyond the main event.
In addition to UFC events, the venue also regularly hosts Dana White’s controversial Power Slap shows, and recently also hosted a professional wrestling event NXT Battleground.
