You’d think that a mystical artifact called the Cursed Skull would scream “danger,” but players keep activating it like it’s a health potion in Peak. Spoiler alert: it is not.

If you’ve ever whipped it out while your whole team was still alive and instantly keeled over, congrats, you just sacrificed yourself for absolutely nothing. It’s a high-risk, high-reward item, but only if you actually know how and when to use it.

So if you’re tired of turning your playthrough into a cautionary tale, this short guide will save your life or at least make your death mean something in Peak

How to use the Cursed Skull in Peak

The Cursed Skull is a game-altering, one-shot item that revives all nearby dead teammates with:

  • Full health
  • Full stamina
  • Zero negative status effects

If this sounds amazing, it’s because it is. But it comes with one brutal catch: you die. Immediately. No take-backs.

So when do you use it? Simple:

When you’re the last one alive, and your teammates are lying dead around you like dropped loot. If you’re alone and surrounded by corpses, popping the Cursed Skull gives your team a second wind and gives you the most honorable death imaginable.

That said, keep in mind the following rules before consuming a Cursed Skull in Peak:

  • Never use it if no one is dead. It will just kill you. No heroic montage. Just a dumb mistake.
  • Stick close to your teammates’ bodies. It only revives those nearby.
  • Think tactically. If your squad is better off revived and fighting together, your death is worth it.

Here’s every outcome you can get from using a Cursed Skull in Peak:

  • Near dead teammates: All revived, you die heroically
  • No one dead: You die pointlessly
  • Too far from corpses: You die, they stay dead; worst of both worlds
