The US Open is the final Grand Slam event of the 2024 tennis season — and there’s a lot of money on the line.

The Flushing Meadows tournament is set to award the largest prize pool in tournament history. The amount continues to increase each year and players now have a chance to win a share of the largest prize pool offered in tennis.

The prize money awarded to each finalist is determined by the USTA. The men’s and women’s tournaments will each receive an equal distribution of prize money for the tournament’s 128 participants. The champions on each side will receive an equal share of the winnings.

So how much will the winner of the 2024 US Open earn? Here’s a full breakdown of the event’s prize pool and how it compares to other major tournaments.

The US Open is set to offer its largest purse ever in 2024.

According to the tournament official websiteThe US Open will offer a record $75 million in player compensation.

Last year, the US Open purse was $65 million, a record at the time.

How much money will the winner of the 2024 US Open receive?

The men’s and women’s singles champions will each win $3.6 million in 2024. This is an increase from 2023, when winners each won $3 million.

Prize money has been increased across the board for each final stage. The 2023 finalist will earn $300,000 more than the 2023 finalist; semifinalists will earn $225,000 more; and even those selected in the top 128 will earn $8,500 more than last year.

Additionally, the USTA has also increased the prize money for the men’s and women’s doubles teams that win the championship. Those champions will receive $750,000 per team, which is a 9 percent increase in total prize money from last year.
