The Utah Jazz find themselves in one of the most pressured situations in the NBA, as the front office’s time to make a decision on the team’s future is running out.
Big man Lauri Markkanen has been one of the most sought after stars in recent years as he would fit right in with a handful of championship contenders. If the Jazz choose to build around Markkanen, acquiring Chicago Bulls guard Zach LaVine on the cheap could be a solid first step.
NBA analyst Jake Weinbach recently proposed a deal that would send LaVine and point guard Ayo Dosunmu to the Jazz in exchange for Jordan Clarkson and John Collins. He elaborated by sharing that “Chicago and Utah have reportedly held trade talks. If the Jazz have genuine interest in LaVine, the door is open for both sides to reach a deal.”

Without a doubt, the Bulls are shopping LaVine with the intention of moving on from him regardless of his return. Meanwhile, Clarkson and Collins, who are solid role players, could add depth to Chicago’s rebuilding lineup.
