The New England Patriots finally had their bye week in Week 14, giving them a chance to rest, recover and prepare for the remaining four games of their season.
While they had the week off, most of the league still had to play their games, which means the results affected where the Patriots were in the standings and rankings.
At this point, New England is in last place in the AFC East with a 3-10 record and have lost three games in a row. Before they resume they take on the Arizona Cardinals this upcoming weekend, let’s take a look at the newest NFL power rankings and see where the Patriots landed.

Iyer: “The Patriots enjoyed a bye and got a lot more company with their 3-10 record. Jerod Mayo needs to get an inspired all-around finish to feel good about his tenure going forward.”
Jeremy Cluff, Arizona Republic: 28 (+1)
Cluff: “The Patriots may be 3-10, but at least they have some hope with Drake Maye at quarterback.”
Taylor Wirth, NBC Sports: 2 (+1)
Wirth: “If two words describe the 2024 Patriots, it’s “ethical tanking.” When you give it your best, but it’s just not enough. Respectable.”
ESPN: 27 (+1)
Mike Reiss: “After finishing 32nd in pass block win rate in 2023, addressing the offensive line was one of the Patriots’ top priorities in the offseason. Yet, through 13 games, the Patriots have had nine different starting lineups on the line due to a combination of missed personnel evaluations, poor performance and injuries. There has been zero improvement with a 51.4% pass block win rate, which hasn’t helped Drake Maye’s welcome to the NFL.”
