Round 1 of the 2024 NBA Draft is set to begin Wednesday in Brooklyn, New York, less than two weeks after the Celtics won the 18th championship in franchise history with a Game 5 victory over the Mavericks.
While this year’s prospect class doesn’t appear to feature a superstar talent like Victor Wembanyama, draft night should be exciting given the uncertainty surrounding the teams at the top of the board. There’s plenty of intrigue surrounding international players like Zaccharie Risacher and Alexandre Sarr, as well as college stars like Stephon Castle, Donovan Clingan and Reed Sheppard.
And, of course, there’s Bronny James, the former USC point guard and son of LeBron James. Bronny is expected to be selected in the second round, as several mock drafts have him on the Lakers at number 55 and teaming up with his father.
