Undefeated British welterweight Conor Benn was expected to face hot rival Chris Eubank Jr., but will instead return to action against little-known Peter Dobson at the Cosmopolitan in Las Vegas on February 3. The 12-round fight, in addition to the undercard, will be broadcast on DAZN around the world.
Benn (20-0, 14 KOs) and Eubank were scheduled to meet in October 2022, but the fight was canceled at the last minute when it was learned that Benn had failed two drug tests during training camp.
While the 27-year-old power puncher has fiercely maintained his innocence and is free to fight outside the UK, the resulting furore has halted his momentum in the ring. After 17 months away, Benn returned with a decision victory over unknown Rodolfo Orozco in September, but all attempts to pick up Eubank’s fight failed.

Dobson (16-0, 9 KOs) hails from the Bronx in New York and turned professional in 2014. There are no signature wins on his resume, but the undefeated record sells the fight and his nine stoppages are a sign for Team Benn We must exercise at least some degree of caution when the bell rings.
