Virtually everything you see on Discord is assigned a unique 18-digit number. Discord users, messages, channels, and servers have special IDs. Developers often use these numbers to refer to inpidual elements.

While you can enjoy life on Discord without knowing any of these IDs, there are times when a server ID is required to help investigate or resolve an issue. Continue reading to learn how to find a Discord server ID.

Before recovering any ID, you must first enable “Developer Mode”. This gives you the ability to copy IDs and make other information available. We have included steps on how to do it. Our FAQ also includes how to find your user ID, other users’ IDs, and message and channel IDs, just in case.

How to Find a Discord Server ID on PC

To locate the server ID, you will first need to activate “Developer Mode”. Here’s how to access it from the desktop app and web browser:

1. Log in to Discord.
   
2. Next to your username at the bottom left, click the “Settings” icon.
   
3. From the left menu, choose the “APP SETTINGS” option.
   
4. Scroll down to the “Advanced” section and then click the slider next to the “Developer Mode” option.
   
5. Now press ESC or click X to close the settings.
   

Note: “Developer Mode” is activated when the slider is blue and disabled when it is gray.

Now to find the id of a server:

1. Above the list of text channels, right-click on the server name to open it.
   
2. Choose “Copy ID.”
   
3. Paste the ID somewhere for later use.
   • You can turn off “Developer Mode” now if you want.
     

How to Find a Discord Server ID on an iPhone

Before copying a server ID, you will need to enable “Developer Mode”. Here we explain how to use your iPhone or any iOS device:

1. Log in to your Discord account.
   
2. From the top left, tap the three-line menu icon to access the menu panel.
   
3. At the bottom right of the menu, tap your profile icon.
   
4. Swipe up to find “APP SETTINGS”, then tap “Appearance”, find “ADVANCED”.
   
5. Next, tap the slider next to the “Developer Mode” option to enable it.
   
6. Exit the “Appearance” menu.
   

Note: When the slider is gray, “Developer Mode” is disabled; It is blue when enabled.

Now to find the id of a server:

1. Above the channel list, find the server name and then tap the three dots icon next to it.
   
2. At the bottom of the drop-down menu, choose “Copy ID.”
   
   • The server ID will be copied to your clipboard.

How to Find a Discord Server ID on an Android Device

Before retrieving a server ID, you will need to enable “Developer Mode”. To do this, complete the following steps on your Android device:

1. Log in to your Discord account.
   
2. Tap the hamburger menu icon.
   
3. Tap your profile icon at the bottom right.
   
4. Choose “User Settings,” “Application Settings,” and then “Behavior.”
   
5. Now enable “Developer Mode” by tapping the slider next to it, under “CHAT BEHAVIOR”.
   
6. Exit the “Behavior” menu.
   

Note: “Developer Mode” is enabled once the slider is blue and disabled when it is gray.

To copy a server ID:

1. Above the channel list, long press the server name.
   
2. From the drop-down menu, tap “Copy ID.”
   
   • The server ID will be copied to your clipboard.

Discord Server ID Recovery

To identify specific Discord elements such as users, text or voice messages, channels, and servers, you are assigned a unique number. This makes things easier when Discord needs to resolve an issue or conduct an investigation.
