How to find an item?

If you lose an item, use the “Find My” app to help you locate it.

1. Start “Find My”.

2. Click “Articles”.

3. Then search for your AirTag via the map.

4. In the “Item List” at the bottom, you will see the details of the place and time of your last known location.

5. For more details, select an item.

6. If your item appears to be nearby but you can’t find it, click “Play Sound” and then hear a sound.

7. If your iPhone is a recent model with Ultra Wideband and your item is within Bluetooth range, a button labeled “Search” will appear.

8. Otherwise, a “Directions” button will be available. Clicking on it will launch a map that will take you to the last location of your item.

9. Click “Search” for help finding the exact location of your item.

Then, with your iPhone, move around your space a bit.

10. Once your iPhone and AirTag connect, an arrow will guide you to it and tell you the approximate distance from you in feet.

11. When you have found it, you will hear the AirTag ring.

12. Click the “X” to exit the page.

Try an AirTag factory reset

A factory reset is known to resolve common AirTag connection issues. To factory reset your AirTag:

1. Launch “Find My” and then select “Items”.

2. Click the AirTag you want to reset.

3. To access AirTag settings, swipe up.

5. Click “Delete” again to confirm.
