One Piece Chapter 1126 marks the beginning of the Elbaf arc by mysteriously separating the Straw Hats.
Manga fans have been waiting for the Elbaf arc for almost two decades. After all this wait, the buzz is undoubtedly very strong. But One Piece seems ready to live up to the readers’ expectations as it kicks off the new arc with a bang.
After their disastrous encounter with the Gorosei and Emeth’s sacrifice, the Straw Hats leave Egg Island with Bonney, Lilith, and the giants. One group remains on the Thousand Sunny while the other remains on the giants’ ship.
Two days after the Egghead incident, the Thousand Sunny, which was carrying Luffy, Zoro, Nami, Usopp, Sanji, and Chopper, suddenly disappears into thin air. The rest of the group aboard the Elbaf ship are understandably shaken by the incident.
Just like them, we don’t know what happened to the group or what caused their sudden disappearance. Readers have all sorts of theories, including that the Man Marked by the Flames was the mastermind behind the incident.
However, at the end of the chapter, we get a little update on the separation. It turns out that Nami has somehow gotten separated from the other five and wakes up in a strange room. The room seems to be made of Legos. But that’s not the only strange thing about it – Nami is wearing a different, Viking-like outfit (usually worn by the natives of Elbaf) and now has a sword.
One Piece Chapter 1126 ends here, so we don’t know what happens next or how Nami ended up in this room. Maybe we’ll find out in the next chapter.
Aside from the Straw Hats breaking up, Chapter 1126 also reveals Luffy’s most trusted ally and the true nature of the red-haired pirates. We also get confirmation of Garp’s fate, as he is shown alive but imprisoned on Hachinosu.
