Christina Applegate will appear in her first on-camera interview in Good morning america since receiving his diagnosis of multiple sclerosis. joined by soprano Star Jamie-Lynn Sigler, who has been living with MS since she was 20, Applegate will open up to Robin Roberts about living with the chronic disease since being diagnosed in 2021.

Applegate also talks about her experience at the Emmy Awards, where she received a standing ovation. “We don’t have to clap every time I do something,” she joked at the time.
Speaking to Roberts, Applegate confesses that she “fainted” on stage.
“People were like, ‘Oh, you were so funny,’ and I was like, ‘I don’t even know what I said,’” Applegate says. “I don’t know what I was doing. I was so scared that I didn’t even know what was happening anymore. And I felt really loved, and it was a beautiful thing.”

Regarding Applegate and Sigler’s new friendship, Roberts adds: “Even though they are in different stages of dealing with the disease, they support each other.”
In a new interview with People, Sigler revealed that she contacted Applegate after learning of her diagnosis. “I wanted to give him tools and things that I’ve learned that have helped me,” he said.
Their friendship inspired them to launch a new podcast together titled Messywhich premieres on March 19.
“We would talk on the phone for two hours, laughing and crying and thinking, ‘This is helping us.’ Let’s record this. Let’s do it,’” Applegate said. People.
The podcast will see the actresses speaking candidly about their experiences with MS while featuring interviews with celebrities including Martin Short and Edie Falco.
“It’s not about the specific experience we’re having,” Sigler told People. “We’re the ones facing something difficult and it’s about figuring out how to move forward. I’ve never been more… nervous, that’s not the word, but kind of anxious about any project I’ve done more than this one, because I care deeply. “We are sharing the deepest parts of ourselves.”
The Applegate Interview premieres on Good morning america Tuesday (March 12).
