The first footage of Continue was revealed today, giving viewers their first look at Taron Egerton’s new Netflix movie coming to the streaming service this year. The clip lasts less than 10 seconds and appeared in the 2024 series trailer and Netflix movie preview that dropped Thursday morning. That’s enough time to get excited about this upcoming action movie.
The clip, which you can find at the minute and 20 second mark of the video in the player at the top of this page, features Egerton as the world’s coolest TSA agent, running through an airport. His character, Ethan Kopek, accidentally let a dangerous package through security. (My money is on a bottle of lotion that weighs over 3.4 ounces.) Is Egerton about to become the Tom Cruise of airport security movies? Only time will make time. But probably not.
It probably has something to do with Jason Bateman, who plays a character credited only as “Mysterious Traveler.” In the clip, we see Bateman, looking somber in a black cap and carrying a backpack, declare: “Today will be a day you will remember for a long time.”
Continue It was directed by Jaume Collet-Serra (The Traveler, Jungle Cruise, Black Adam), with a screenplay co-written by TJ Fixman and Michael Green. The film was produced by Steven Spielberg’s Amblin Entertainment. Carry On’s supporting cast includes Logan Marshall-Green, Sofia Carson, Danielle Deadwyler, Sinqua Walls, Theo Rossi, Josh Brener and Dean Norris.
