The Philadelphia Eagles said Monday they were aware of counterfeit political ads and were working with an unnamed advertising partner to have them removed.
The ads show a person resembling Kamala Harris wearing an Eagles helmet and the name “Kamala” written across the bottom. Some claim that Kamala Harris, the vice president and Democratic presidential nominee in November, is the “official candidate of the Philadelphia Eagles.”

According to NBC 10 Philadelphia, the ads also link to Philadelphiaeagles.com/vote — which is an actual site the team set up to help provide nonpartisan information to help people learn how to register to vote and learn more about the upcoming election. The station said the team began removing them Monday and hopes to have them all removed by Tuesday.
