Dallas entered Game 6 with a 3-2 lead, looking to avoid returning to Los Angeles for Game 7.
Luka Doncic (28 points) and Kyrie Irving (30 points) ensured the series ended at home, combining for 58 points to defeat the Clippers.
Los Angeles made a valiant effort in the second quarter, overcoming an early deficit to tie the game at halftime. Irving only scored two points at halftime, but the All-Star guard flipped a switch in the second half.
Irving exploded for 28 points after the break, extending the Mavericks’ lead to 24 points. The Clippers tried to respond, but Dallas had an answer for every counterattack.
