If you’ve been using Gmail for a while, there’s a good chance the answer is “yes.” No matter how hard you try to avoid all types of mailing lists, Gmail clutter is bound to occur at some point. If you use it for commercial purposes, this will likely happen sooner rather than later.
So what do you do in this situation? Unfortunately, the iOS version of the Gmail app doesn’t allow you to delete all emails.. There is no such feature native in the app or in a mobile browser, even if you choose “Request Desktop Site”, so you will have to select multiple emails and delete them in bulk.

Regarding deleting emails, the Gmail app for iOS doesn’t have many features. You can delete each email separately or select multiple emails and delete them as a group. The problem with the second option is that you have to select each email manually, which can take a considerable amount of time and, for some, even forever. This process is the only way to delete all Gmail emails on an iPhone.
Still, if you want to delete all Gmail emails on an iPhone, here’s what you need to do:
- Open the “Gmail application” on your iPhone.
- Choose the location (a folder or parent category) where the emails you want to delete reside.
- Touch any “email icon” to convert thumbnails to checkboxes.
- Touch everyone “emails” that you want to delete, then tap the “trash icon” (delete) at the top of the screen to delete them.
As you can see, this process is simple, but it is far from a convenient way to delete all your emails from Gmail. If you want an easier way, you must use the desktop version of Gmail on a Macbook or macOS desktop computer (iMac, Mac mini, Mac Studio or Mac Pro) or do it on a Windows PC/laptop.
