Snapchat is constantly releasing updates to add and improve various features. For a long time, it was not possible to change the pen size when adding text or drawing on snapshots. However, a recent update changed all that. Now, Snapchat users have even more power over their photos.
How to draw on your photos
Let’s start with the basics. Drawing on photographs is easy and fun. Simply take a new photo and look at the editing options on the right side.

Tap the pencil icon and then use your finger to draw on your photo. You may notice that a colored bar has appeared on the right side. Use this bar to select a new color for your pen.

Don’t you like your new masterpiece? Once you start drawing, an undo symbol will appear at the top right of the image. Tap this once to undo all the drawings you’ve made since you last lifted your finger. Tap it again to continue. Be careful though, there is no button to return work you have deleted.

How to edit pen size for drawings
If the pen is too big or too small for your liking, use your fingers to pinch it or make it larger. Simply place your thumb and index finger on the screen and spread them apart for a larger stylus. Do the same and move them closer together to get a smaller one.

Once you have adjusted the pen size, the pen will disappear. Tap and drag your finger to draw again. You will see that you are now using your new pen size.
Other drawing options

You can also edit the size of the symbols you are drawing. However, Snapchat still faces some technical issues in that department. If you make the symbol too big, it won’t draw correctly. Instead, a single copy of the symbol will appear each time you swipe.

How to add and edit text
If you’re more of the literary type, consider adding some text. It is easy. All you need to do is tap the T at the top of the edit menu on the right. This will open your phone’s typing keyboard. Then write any witty or catchy lines you can think of.

When the writing menu appears, a colored bar should also appear. Use it to change the text color just as you would the pen color.

You can also try tapping the T over and over to change the size and formatting of the text. These options are very limited. You can only make the text large or small. You can also center just the text or leave it focused.
Once you finish typing, press Done to accept the change. You can move the location of text around your photo with your finger.
Is not sufficient?
Don’t worry. Snapchat is always full of surprises. There will be another update shortly.
