Magic writing limitations
Although Magic Write is an excellent tool, it is still in the early stages of development and is far from perfect. Here are some of the most important limitations that you should keep in mind before using the tool to make important trading decisions:
- The information available in the tool only goes back to mid-2021. If you’re looking for new content or information, you’ll have to look elsewhere.
- You cannot create text that is unique or authentic.
- The only guide to the engine is what you write in the message. Provide more details about your message so you can generate more context-specific results.
- The entry limit is around 1500 words.
- The output limit is around 2000 words.
- Text may be cut off in mid-sentence if the input or output is greater than the limit.
- In Canva for Education, only teachers and administrators have access to the tool. The students do not.
The AI Content Policy
Canva states that there are multiple layers of controls and filters that help provide safe and objective results. Even so, they mention that the tool can generate harmful and offensive content. If this happens while using Magic Write, we encourage you to report the issue to Canva’s feedback team.
Canva Magic Write vs Chat GPT
Canva has integrated this new artificial intelligence tool with functionality similar to Chat GPT. If you have had the opportunity to use this latest tool, you are already familiar with how far the new technology can go. Magic Write is like a little brother to Chat GPT, designed to help designers optimize their workflow.
With Canva Magic Write, you can design and write at the same time. With Chat GPT, you only have access to the text message and can’t do much with the results other than copy them to your Canva account to finalize the design.
So if you’re wondering if Chat GPT is a better option for your Canva designs, you’ll be happy to know that it’s better to use Magic Write to design within the Canva program.
Another difference is that Chat GPT is designed to do many things, while the scope of Canva’s AI tool is much more limited. However, Magic Write gets better the more information you give it in a specific context, making it a great long-term companion for your marketing campaigns and brainstorming sessions.
