John Harbaugh contract details
Ahead of the 2022 season, the final year of his four-year contract extension, Harbaugh signed another extensionkeeping him in Baltimore until the 25th. NFL coaches’ salaries are not made public, but reports They say the deal was worth about $12 million a year for three years.
It placed him as one of the highest paid coaches in the league. Now that Pete Carrol and Bill Belichick are no longer on his legendary teams, Harbaugh is rising through the ranks. He is tied with the Chiefs’ Andy Reid as the fourth-highest-paid coach.
The coaching departures also make Harbaugh the second-longest-serving active coach, having begun his role in 2008. It’s no wonder why: He’s the winningest head coach in franchise history with 172 wins, including the postseason.
Harbaugh had almost immediate success in Baltimore. The team went from 5-11 in 2007 to 11-5 in his debut with the Ravens. They reached the conference championship that season. After five straight playoff appearances, each of which included a postseason victory, it all became a reality. The Ravens won their second Super Bowl in 2012.
Over the next 16 years, Harbaugh’s had only two losing seasons and made the playoffs in 11 seasons. It’s safe to say Baltimore owner Steve Bisciotti will want the coach to put his name on another extension again next year.
