Manchester United secured a historic chapter for the club by becoming the first team in English football to complete a treble of trophies in 1999.

However, the crowning moment came in Barcelona, when Ole Gunnar Solskjaer completed an incredible comeback win over Bayern Munich, to clinch his first UEFA Champions League crown and third European title.
The victory at Camp Nou capped off an incredible campaign for United fans which has now been immortalized in a new Amazon Prime documentary featuring behind-the-scenes footage.
What is 99 – Man United Documentary?
The ’99’ documentary follows the story of United’s campaign to break barriers and ensure they took home all the major trophies as part of an exciting lead-up to the season.
United fans will be treated to loads of never-before-seen footage about Ferguson and his players, including interviews with key figures in the team such as Class of ’92 stars David Beckham, Gary Neville and Paul Scholes.
The documentary addresses Ferguson’s personal drive to turn his team’s core, based on academy graduates, into a historic winning machine, alongside enigmatic and iconic teammates, from captain Roy Keane to goalkeeper Peter Schmeichel.
The series has been produced by Ventureland’s John Battsek and Miles Coleman, with additional input from content production companies partly owned by former players, including Beckham’s Studio 99 and Neville’s Buzz 16.
