The Greek Freak is once again proving that he is one of the best in the world.
On Monday, the NBA announced the winners of its Player of the Week awards for March 31-April 6. Unsurprisingly, Milwaukee Bucks star Giannis Antetokounmpo earned the nod for the East.

With star teammate Damian Lillard still sidelined with deep vein thrombosis in his right calf, Antetokounmpo has had to carry the load for Milwaukee. While it isn’t the most desirable circumstance, the two-time MVP has thrived under pressure.
Playing three of the Bucks’ four games in that span, Antetokounmpo averaged 36 points, 12.3 rebounds and 13.7 assists to lead the Bucks to an undefeated record. While the Bucks didn’t necessarily play the toughest schedule, they need every win they can get while Lillard is sidelined to try and bolster their playoff positioning.
Antetokounmpo’s week was highlighted by his historic triple-double against the Philadelphia 76ers. The star forward had 35 points, 17 rebounds and 20 assists in the road win, making him the first player in league history to record a 35-point, 15-rebound, 20-assist game.

Along with beating the 76ers, Antetokounmpo led his team to wins against the Phoenix Suns and Miami Heat. Against the Heat, Antetokounmpo recorded his second-straight triple-double and took over in the final minutes of regulation and overtime to secure the much-needed win.
In his past three games, Antetokounmpo has recorded at least 35 points and 10 assists, making him the first player to have such a streak since Luka Doncic did so across five games last season.
Going into the final week of the season, the Bucks lead the Detroit Pistons by one game for the No. 5 seed in the East. With two games remaining against the Pistons, the Bucks will need more performances like this from Antetokounmpo to keep their spot and seek revenge on the Indiana Pacers in a first-round matchup.
