There is also a simpler Yahoo option that you can use on your computer. In case you are facing internet connection issues or browser issues, you can switch from regular Yahoo Mail to Yahoo Mail Basic. It’s also easier to navigate and provides a streamlined experience when you want to focus on the basics. To block email addresses in Mail Basic, do the following:

1. Select the “Settings” tab in the upper right corner.
   
2. Then choose the “Blocked Addresses” button on the left.
   
3. Enter the email address in the “Add an address” field and click the plus sign.
   

The entered contact is now blocked and messages from this specific sender will be automatically deleted.

How to Block Email Addresses in Yahoo on an Android Device

Using Yahoo Mail on your Android smartphone provides a PC-like experience, so you can finish almost anything you need on the go. To block a contact, follow these steps:

1. Open the Yahoo Mail app.
   
2. Select the message from the email address you want to block on your Yahoo account.
   
3. Tap the “Cancel Subscription” button.
   
4. Choose “Subscription” from the next menu.
   
5. Here you will see all the addresses of active subscribers, choose one and then press “Block”.
   
6. Select “Block” again to confirm the subscription.
   

This way, you won’t be able to see them in your inbox.

If you have a certain email address in mind, but can’t find a recent message, follow the instructions provided below:

1. Open Yahoo Mail in your browser and press the “three horizontal lines” button in the top right corner.
   
2. Go to “Unread.”
   
3. Click on the email you want to recover.

How to Block Email Addresses in Yahoo on an iPhone

There are two solutions to block email addresses on your iPhone device. The first option is relatively simple if you have the dedicated application:

1. Open the Yahoo Mail app on your iPhone.
   
2. Choose “Subscription” from the next menu.
   
3. Select the email address you want to block from your Yahoo account.
4. Choose one and then tap “unsubscribe.”
   

On the other hand, you may be using the iPhone’s basic Mail app to receive emails to your Yahoo account. In that case, you can block the specific email address coming from the sender there. First, you’ll have to choose what to do with existing emails from blocked email addresses and then you can block them. Here’s how to do it:

1. Go to Settings, find the “Mail” option and tap on it.
   
2. Select the “Blocked Sender Options” button.
   
3. You can select “Move to Trash” to send all blocked messages to be automatically deleted.
   
4. Open the “Mail” application.
   
5. Go directly to an email you received from a user you want to block.
   
6. Double-tap the sender address.
   
7. Tap “Block this contact” and confirm.
   

Depending on whether or not you selected “Move to Trash” in the steps above, future emails will either go to the trash or simply be marked as blocked in your inbox.

How to Block Email Addresses in Yahoo on an iPad

Since iPads and iPhones use the same operating system, the method for blocking an email address on your iPad is the same as on your iPhone. This is what you should do:

1. Open the Yahoo Mail app.
   
2. Review your emails until you find a message from a sender you want to block and open it.
   
3. Tap the “More” button.
   
4. Select “Mark as spam.”
   
5. There is also an option to delete all previous emails you received from a sender: “Delete.” You can use this if you want to delete the emails you found from a specific user.
   
6. Press “OK” and you are ready.
   

If you don’t have the Yahoo Mail app on an iOS device, you can still use the basic iOS Mail app to get the job done. This is what you should do:

1. Go to settings.

4. Choose “Move to Trash” to start automatically deleting mail that comes from blocked sources.

You can skip steps 1 to 4 if you want to leave the emails in your inbox but mark them as blocked. You can still see them later. Otherwise, emails from Trash are deleted after 30 days.
